-------------- Arthur awaits for a reply from the Good Masters at his dwelling, sitting in a chair by an open window for fresh air.

He enters a tavern, inside which he sees a few men dressed as himself, like knights, among a sea of easterners. He goes to the bar, to seek out a bartender who spoke common.

"Hail," a man called from a bench not far away. He was surprised to see another Westerosi in port, and wished to converse with Ser Jaymes.
"What is your name?"

"Jaymes, Ser, what is yours?" he asked, looking to the direction of the man who had called out. The bartender had just handed him some strange drink, and taken his silver for it, but he found that it had quite a kick when he drank.

"Ser Davos Gaunt," the man replied, "hailing from lands not too far from the Landing itself." He offered a hand and burped. "What brings ye here?"

"I'm looking for something," Ser Jaymes said, shaking the man's hand. "It's a quest of sorts, searching for a lost heirloom. Astapor is an interesting city, I hadn't even thought of a language barrier when I left Westeros."

"Aye," Ser Davos said, motioning around him. "I can't understand a word this lot is sayin'. However, they can't understand me either, which is good, too. Watch," he said, grinning. He looked at the man sitting next to him. "I fucked your wife's cunt, three times. You're a bastard and kinslayer. The gods have deserted your family, and I fuck your daughter." He bellowed in laughter at his own example, as the foreign man next to him was oblivious at Gaunt's words.

Ser Jaymes laughed, although inwardly he grew more frustrated. "Would you happen to know where a fellow can find a bartender who speaks our tongue? I'd actually like to be able to choose what kind of drink I have," he said with another laugh.

"Maslow!" the man bellowed, to a large man with eastern features at the other end of the bar.
The bartender walked over. "This here is Ser Jaymes, wanting to speak with a man who understands him," Ser Davos said, jabbing a thumb at Ser Jaymes.
"Greetings, what do you need?" Maslow said to Jaymes.

"I want an ale," he said, and slapped three gold coins down on the bar, "and maybe also directions to help me find what I'm looking for."

"An ale I can give you," Maslow grunted, sliding the mug over the table. "As for direction, Maslow see what he can do." He smiled and waited for this request.

"I know that a longsword arrived in this city, one made of Valyrian Steel, and I was wondering what direction it went," Jaymes said softly as he took the mug of ale. He emptied it quickly, and smiled. "This is delicious, let me have another," he said, and he placed another three coins on the bar.

Maslow grunted. "I know nothing of swords, Maslow does not. But I may have friends who do."
