The guards held the struggling man still. “My Lady, he was found stealing.” One said. Lyelle smiled, it wasn’t her normal smile, it didn’t extend to her eyes. “What did he steal?” “Vital papers My Lady, from your chambers, we caught him as he snuck out.” He handed Lyelle a bundle of papers. She glanced at them for a moment. “And what were you planning to do with them?” She asked the man curiously. The men didn’t answer. “Put him in a cell for a few days. That should ease his tongue.” The guards saluted and dragged the man away.

Lyelle stood in the hot sun, she didn’t turn as the thief was brought into the courtyard. “What did you want with the papers?” “Give them to my Lord.” He answered through bloodied lips. “And your Lord is?” The man looked away from her, and Lyelle smiled. “Let him go.” “But my lady?” “I said let him go.” “Yes Lady Qorgyle.” The guard let the man go, who gave a confused look to Lyelle. “I suggest you run.” Without another word the man ran, giving Lyelle a frightened glance over his shoulder. Lyelle picked up her bow and an arrow and went up to the walls. She fitted an arrow and shot, hitting the man. She watched him fall with no expression on her face. “Bury him.” She turned and left, smiling slightly as she heard the guards get ready to pick up the dead mans body.
