Character Personal History: Born as son and heir to the Lord of The Last Hearth, Arthur Umber grew up learning the ways of leadership and battle. Spending much of his time in the yard, with his Master of Arms, Ser Wilhelm Fossoway, Arthur quickly became exceptional with the sword. However, with the death of his close sister Bethany, Arthur's aspect on life changed, leaving him grief struck, and confused. Realizing he had to do something about the world, and end much of the suffering around, Arthur told his father of his intentions to leave, and seek answers. Having built a close relationship with Arthur, Ser Wilhelm requested to leave with him, taking a score of men to help along the way. This was all acknowledged by an understanding and old father.
Character Physical Description: Jon is much taller than most men, standing at 7 feet 3 inches, and weighing in at approximately 21 stone. He is of fair complexion, and is often found wearing white-bear furs. He is dark of hair, which falls and rests just above the shoulders. With high cheek-bones, a long face, gray eyes, and a charming smile, Jon obtains a refined beauty which is lost in most Umbers, who descended from giants. Physically toned, and surprisingly graceful in movements his speed exceeds most of his opponents.
Character Reputation: Arthur was known in the Last Hearth as a polite youth, who was always charming his elders, obtaining influence, though never failing to be kind and charismatic to those below him. Always seeking justice and truth, people trust his kind and fierce nature.

My second;
1) Character Name: Randyll Royce
2) Character Age: 11, born in 1487
3) Character Nationality (Stormlands, The Reach, etc): the Vale
4) Character Byname: The Singing Artist
5) Character Skillpoint Distribution (out of 300): -75 Smithing -65 Singing -65 Sculpting -65 Painting -30 Negotiations
8) Character Personal History: Son of lord Arthur Royce, Randyll had always been a strange child. He had been very weak at birth, and uncontrolable during most of his childhood. Often he would have unexplainable fits of rage, followed by deep moments of sadness. His father had contacted many measters and healers to cure the boy, to no avail. His behavior only grew worse, until Randyll met this travelling septon that was a guest of his father. Randyll was seven at the time, and found the young septon painting a picture of the sun in a garden. The septon noticed the boy looking at him, and gave him his brush, urging him to draw something else in the painting. Randyll drew a tree, rising high in the clouds, it's branches entwined with the sun the septon had made. To his great surprise, he saw that this was no ordinary drawing. Randyll hade made a painting far above even an apprentice painter's level, let alone a boy of seven who had never painted before. Immediately the septon informed lord Arthur Royce, claiming the boy's talent was divine, a gift from the seven. He gained permission to instruct the boy, and stayed more than three years at the Vale. Randyll's skills grew rapidly under the septon's teaching, and he learned other arts to. Sculpting and singing, but he became better in smithing than in anything else. Also, his fits and strange behaviour dissapeared as he became better. The septon claimed that he purged the evil from his body trough his art. Now, a master artist despite his young age, Randyll has his own shop, a gift from his father. There, he forges weapons and armor and made paintings and sculptures. He would often sing as he worked, and under the influence of the septon he had become a true follower of the Seven, and often prayed to the Smith. While he had a good relationship with his father and the rest of his family, he did not with his brother Stannis, who had forsaken the Seven for the old gods.
9) Character Physical Description: Still a young, beardless boy, with blue eyes that only seemed to come alive when he was busy at his arts.
10) Character Reputation: A young and special boy, he was well-liked in the Vale, and men had great respect for his skill.

1) Character Name: Lord Jared Mallister
2) Character Age: 20
3) Character Nationality: Riverlands
4) Character Byname:
5) Character Skillpoint Distribution (out of 400):
80 Lance 70 Stewardship 50 Swordsmanship 60 Horsemanship 40 Battle command 40 Harp 60 Campaigning
waiting on 6 and 7
8) Character Personal History: Jared was born in 1478, only son of Lord Vincent Mallister. His mother was of House Whent but died soon after his birth. He grew strong and quick witted, with an odd affinity for the harp, a trait which would have ostracized him from his marshal-minded father but for the fact that he may be the new generation's finest lance. He was not fostered on account of a promise by his father to his dying mother that he would keep watch over him personally. He is not yet married, though since his father's death in 1497 he has been receiving an increasing number of proposals from lords across the realm. He rides to King's Landing for the great tourney to be held a relative unknown outside the riverlands, but his vow is that that anonymity will not last long.
9) Jared is 5'10" and about 180 pounds, fit and trim. He has salt and pepper hair kept short and generally dresses in blues and grays. He keeps clean shaven and is considered handsome, and a childhood accident training with his first steel weapon has cost him the first joint off his left little finger.
10) Reputation: With no fostering and no other children fostered with him at Seagard, Lord Jared is known to relatively few across the realm outside his native Riverlands. Those who do know him consider him a good friend and a harsh enemy, as his feelings run deep in any direction.

Post by Waine Qorgyle on May 15, 2008 16:29:24 GMT -5
1) Character Name: Waine Qorgyle
2) Character Age: 23
3) Character Nationality: Dorne
4) Byname:
5) Character Skillpoint Distribution (out of 400):
80 Guile 70 Persuasion 70 Charm 70 Archery 60 Poison 50 Horsemanship
8) Character Personal History:
Born in 1475 to Ser Willhem and Melline Qorgyle, Waine had spent the majority of his life around court in Sunspear. Being his only son, Ser Willhelm had expected much of his son. Unfortunately for the knight, Waine was known more for his skills at cyvasse than for the sword. Nevertheless, Ser Willhelm had made it an objective to transform the boy into a warrior.
As Ser Willhem soon discovered, swordsmanship is not an inherited trait. More in tune to the art of politics and cyvasse than the sword, it was apparent that Waine was not destined to be a knight like his father. Nevertheless, Ser Willhem commanded his son to learn some form of fighting. As Waine had been infatuated with tales of great heroes armed with the bow, so it was the trade he would come to be instructed in.
At age 10, Waine had the misfortune to witness first-hand the death of his father, who was stricken with a fatal illness whilst on a hunting trip. Ser Willhem's death remains a painful episode in Waine's life, who would never have the chance to redeem himself in the eyes of his father. On his father's deathbed, the boy swore a promise that the knight would regret it.
9) He is of average size and build, yet makes up for his mundane appearances with the most adorned apparel available in Dorne. From his father, he inherited his heart-shaped face and raven black hair. His green eyes and straight nose, however, belong to his mother's side of the family.
10) Reputation: Within the land of sun and spear, however, his guile and skill with the bow have earned him great renown. For Waine, he has never considered enough. In the halls of the Red Keep, the knight's son is but a small lizard in a sea of sand. As per his promise, Waine will not allow to to be truth for long.

My new second:
1) Character Name: Ser Hector Templeton
2) Character Age: 26
3) Character Nationality (Stormlands, The Reach, etc): The Vale
4) Character Byname: The Knight of Ninestars
5) Character Skillpoint Distribution (out of 300):
75 Swordsmanship 65 Lance 65 Poison Lore 65 Stealth
8) Character Personal History: Hector was born in 1472, the only son of Ser William Templeton and Lady Ami Belmore. He gained prominence at the young age of 16 when he performed admirably during a skirmish victory near Maidenpool during the River War. He continued to stand out in battle, slaying any foe who challenged him, until he received a small command as a scout. Terrible rumors surrounded the deeds performed by the Ninestar Company, as they were called, and they were disbanded just before the end of the war by the direct order of Lord Arthur Royce. Ser Hector has remained in Ninestars since, brooding and ruling with an iron fist after his father passed away in 1492. He is unmarried.
9) Character Physical Description: Hector stands a perfect specimen, more godlike than human. He is 6'2 in height, his build muscular but not ridiculously disproportional. His hair is a dark black, as are his eyes. His teeth are white, but his skin is an attractive bronze. He will dress in dark colors, fashionably but not extravagant.
10) Character Reputation: Everything about this man is dark. His dark beauty, tan skin and black hair, driving women to great lengths to attempt to gain his favor. His dark humor, ever witty and dry. His dark moods, rumors circulating about his past deeds. He is known as a fierce warrior and womanizer, proud and willful. He carries himself with an undeniable swagger, which sometimes leads him to being labeled as arrogant.
