Age: 32 (b. 1466)
Nationality: The Far Reach
Byname: ---
Skillpoints: 80 Swordfighting 70 Battle Command 70 Intrigue 70 Stewardship 65 Persuasion 45 Chemistry
Personal History: Osney Hightower was born to Lord Johanon and Lady Genna Baratheon in the year of 1466. Around the age of ten his father was named Hand of the King. Osney was sent to foster in the Vale with Arthur Royce and Cregan Stark, with whom he grew a solid bond. At the age of fifteen he returned home on his lord father’s command. He was almost a man grown, and with Lord Johanon serving as the Hand in King’s Landing, it was past time he ruled the seat Oldtown in his father’s stead. Osney was a stern ruler, but just. Never were he overly harsh, and more often than not her erred on the side of sympathy. He was loved by his people, in a fashion; everything was carried out for the greater good.
On his twentieth name day, Osney Hightower married Mirra, the only daughter of Lord Hester Redwyne. Within a fortnight she was pregnant with their first son, with another son and a daughter soon to follow. Osney and his brother-in-law, Edwyn Redwyne, took an immediate liking to one another, and are fast companions. His face is stern, as if chiseled from particularly severe stone, tempered with a neatly trimmed goatee. His eyes are dark, more black than brown, as is his hair: since birth the Baratheon black and the Hightower brown have forever been at battle in Osney’s thick hair. The heir to Oldtown is known to dress in reserved colors, mainly black, accented with the white and grey of his house. Osney forever with his immense steel greatsword slung over his back, its hilt fashioned to look like a rising ivory tower banded with iron, set with a ruby flame.
Reputation: Osney Hightower is known to be a stern man, when called for. That isn’t to say he is without mirth however; Osney can smile, laugh, and make bawdy jests like any other man, but never when there is business to be done. The heir to Hightower is well liked by the people of Oldtown, who know him to be goodly and just ruler.

He was trained with the sword from an early age, and learned the way of sailing and battle. Paxter Gorn and Rafford Mungor were fostered with his father, Lord Tristan, and raised to have firm roles for the Stepstones. Rafford was taught to be a good raider, and Paxter to hold the Stepstones should any invaders attack. Balon was squired by Lord Victaryn Fenner, and returned to Lord Hacke a knight three years ago. When House Fenner rose up against their lords, Balon and his father Tristan led their army against House Fenner. Lord Tristan was killed in the fighting, and Balon took up his father’s Valyrian Steel sword Red Rain and led the Van, crushing the army of House Fenner. He then led the army to Fen Hall, razing it and eradicating House Fenner and all their heirs. The event has made the Houses of the Stepstones wary of their new Lord, careful not to anger him. 9) Character Physical Description: Balon is just over six feet tall, with wide shoulders and solidly built. His face is stern and sharp, with black eyes and long black hair that could be described as cascading down his neck. His face rarely changes expression; that cold, distant expression. He wears black pants and has the Valyrian Steel longsword Red Rain at his waist. His shirt is mostly black with House Hacke’s sigil on the front, a bone hand on blood red rain drops.
10) Character Reputation: Lord Balon has come to be somewhat feared after his swift and brutal destruction of House Fenner of Lune Isle after their uprising two years ago. Many of the Stepstones whisper that under his cold, quiet façade is a ruthless demon that orchestrated the Fenner Uprising to kill his father.
