FAMED GENERALS OF WESTEROS
Lord Rychard Dondarrion, 53: This man served as King Edric's sub-commander for three decades, as he led the good King's van in every major conflict for many years, and always coming out successful. He is tall and proud, and was known as a cruel and harsh enemy in his younger days but has since mellowed with age. Rychard is one of the most famous men in Westeros. Many of his sons and nephews are now notable men of battle.
Lord Jack Morrigen, 36: The Lord of Crows Nest, Jack Morrigen is a honorable (his reputation, at least) and handsome man. He is slightly less admired than his infamous brothers, Ser Andry and Ser Androw, one who is in exile and the other at the Wall. Jack is the polar opposite of them, a chivalrous general and is loved by his subjects. He was groomed by Lord Dondarrion as his successor for Edric's armies, and was instrumental in putting a stop to the River War with his victories over the stubborn riverlords at Maidenpool and beneath Harrenhal. He is a hard worker, and has toiled endlessly to ensure the loyalty and respect of his peers and soldiers, where as his brothers seem to find fame and respect easily.
Lord Terrence Brax, 29: A young and dashing knight, Terrence recently became the Lord of his House when his elderly father passed. Terrence fought on Marq Tully's side during the River War, and became his most respected and feared general. He is undefeated thus far, and will not let that go unnoticed during a conversation. He is pleasant and cheerful, if a little overconfident. Men follow his lead like its their second nature. He is the brother of Ser Leonard Brax of the Kingsguard.
Ser Nestor Staunton, 40: A great knight in his prime, he is only not a member of the Kingsguard because there were no positions available during his days of glory. As he grew older he put his dreams of white cloaks and melee championships aside, and began to study the ways of generalship. He fought in the Stepstones during their rebellion and achieved many victories , and aided the Vale at Maidenpool, his only defeat, although he was not the commander during the battle, his forces arriving after it was too late. He resides at his House's castle, Rooks Rest.
Lord Van Rowan, 44: This man has lived up to his name, leading the van in many different wars, both in the southwest of the Seven Kingdoms and across the narrow sea, during the Stepstone Rebellion and the recent Myrish War. He quietly demands respect with his strong presence and his unflappable personality. A true leader, he inspires loyalty and discipline throughout his ranks.
Ser Rodrick Hunter, 33: A young and confident man, Ser Rodrick has been the pride of the Vale's armies for over a decade. A born leader, he inspires courage and devotion, with his good looks and charismatic personality. Behinds the pleasant appearance there is an even more brilliant mind, able to quickly calculate the risk of every decision made on the battlefield. He has conquered the ability of pulling off seemingly daring maneuvers in battles, somehow willing them to actually work to his favor.
Deceased Famed Generals:
Lord Jonothor Corbray, The Gold Falcon, 1424-1495: Jonothor was a born leader, growing up commanding men against the clansmen of the vale and gaining lordship at the age of 25. He gained fame throughout the vale by defeating the large army of clansmen under the Grey Hunter, slaying the latter in close combat - for which he was rewarded with a set of gilded platemail. He commanded the vale forces in several battles outside of the vale, as well as leading a large force during the River War. Died peacefully at the age of 71.
Lord Velryn Yronwood, 1460-1499: Velryn has represented Dorne's army for fifteen years, and is still not planning on giving any inch of dornish soil any time soon. Little is known about him, he is a quiet and emotionless man, proud but polite, though his men are fierce and terrible in battle.
He was slain during the second battle of the Prince's Pass, having won a great victory in the first one. Lord Dustin Caswell was his slayer, cutting him down amidst the chaos of battle.
Ser Willem Florent 1441-1499: This knight came to prominence later in his life, leading successful battles both at sea and on land against would-be raiders of the abundant Reach coast. He was given the command of the Arbor fleet by Lord Redwyne, and all smugglers and pirates suddenly become much more honest and well-to-do individuals when they sail past Sunflower Hall or Oldtown.
Lord Florent was captured when his host was defeated by Rodrick Harlaw's Iron Fleet off the Reach coast. He was later beheaded by Lord Harlaw, in vengeance for the death of the same Rodrick at the hands of Lord Chester, Florent's ally.
