Lord Domeric Tyrell was born in 1472 to Lord Mason Tyrell and Lady Ophelia Hightower. A strong heir, he went through the trials of losing all four of his younger siblings in a boating accident on the Mander in 1489. His mother soon killed herself with sweetslap. In his anger and frustration, he led the armies of the Mander into several large scale battles, culminating in a defeat to the Ironborn at the Battle of Harlaw in 1492. Coming home with a better sense of the world, he swiftly worked on his already keen skills of dealing with people and avoiding violence through diplomacy. He married Lady Belle Oakheart in 1490, but she died during the miscarriage of their first child in 1496. Since then, he has looked around Westeros for a bride, and hopes the wedding of Lord Caravel will provide him with a chance to meet some women he has yet to become acquainted with.
He has an odd affinity for the North, having been rescued off a disastrous battle off the Iron Islands by a northern fishing boat. He is also on good terms with most of the other lands, though he loathes Ser Zaric Blackmont for his sheer brutality.
He presided over the trial of Lady Lyelle Qorgoyle and Lord Waine Qorgoyle in February 1499, culminating in the death of Ser Brennan Blackwood to Leo Martell. He led the attack on the Prince's Pass after Lord Wyl broke the treaty at Blackhaven, but was driven back by the Dornish military genius Lord Yronwood, though not without causing serious casualties. Betrothed to Lady Lyelle Qorgoyle after the Dornish War. Took a fleet to battle against Lord Harlaw at Pyke, and was captured, though the battle itself proved inconclusive.
On the Black team of Nightsong's grand melee in November 1499, and crowned champion by the crowds, electing the Lady Jeyne Caron as his queen of love and beauty. Poisoned at the wedding feast of his cousin Alysanne Caron that very night.
Physically Lord Domeric is very fit and normal height and weight, though practice with his greatsword Ironfel has broadened his chest and arms. He never jousts on account of finding it a largely useless diversion, though he is a known gambler and will bet on near anything. He does not chase maidens or women in the way other men might, and he seldom drinks. He has reddish hair and green eyes, and some have made the joking comparison that he looks oddly like a Tully.
Reputation: 9 years ago any man would have said the Tyrell heir would be a fire that burned too bright too quickly, but since his defeat in the Battle of Harlaw, that opinion has changed. He makes long term plans and seldom acts quickly, but his bannermen respect him now for his clever plans and generosity.
