Rin made his way through the marketplace. As one of the chief apprentices, it was his duty to buy materials. So he made his merry way toward one of the metal merchants.

The metal merchant was a small Tyroshi man, thick set and bare chested besides a leather-vest.

Rin eyed the man for moment, and then made to approach. This was the first time he had ever gone material-buying for Zuul, and he wanted to do a fair job.
"Hail." He said in Tyrosh, and lifting a hand to signify whom was calling out.

"Hello young man, how may I be helping you today?", the man said as he surveyed the materials of his shop.

"I'm here to pick up the order for Grandmaster Zuul." Rin said, more humbly than he would have liked. He had respect for his Master, but he did not like all of the titles. A man was a man, after all. He swatted a mosquito that had landed on his bald pate.
"Though he did not tell me how much to give you."

"Ahh that's all you needed to say, my boy!", the merchant says as he grabs a great crate from behind him. "He probably gave you a pouch of coins...usually does. Give me half of it and we'll call it a deal."

Rin smiled. "I don't think he gave me that much. You can have what's here though." He handed the bag to the merchant, it tinkled as the man grabbed it.

The man examined the coins and gave a satisfied smile, "Alright, but if Zuul wasn't such a steady customer he wouldn't be getting these good of prices!"

"You're the most versatile metal merchant in the Free Cities, there's no one else he should go to."
Rin looked around. He was a good eight inches taller than the man. "Where is the order?"

"Here", he said, turning around to pick up the heavy crate and handed it slowly to the boy.

Rin did not have much more luck than the merchant. He had assumed that he would be strong enough to carry order alone. It seemed he was mistaken.
"I don't suppose you have any carts I might be able to use?"

The merchant laughed, "I do, if you promise upon your apprenticeship to have it back before dark."

"If I did not, I couldn't live with myself, friend." Rin laughed, in a booming sort of way.

The merchant smiled. He enjoyed business with Zuul and his apprentices.

Ser William followed Ser Garlan through the city, until he spotted what was obviously a tavern up ahead on the right. "I'm damn thirsty," he said, turning to Garlan. "How about you?"
