After a while, a servant asked for entrance, carrying a platter of food.

Bruyan glances at Lorry, and decides to search the servant for any weapons or poison.

"We can take it from here," Lorry said, smirking at Bruyan. He gives the servant a glaring look, then takes the platter from him and nods to Bruyan. "Let's go."
Together they enter the Silver Soldier's quarters.

Bruyan followed slightly happy that he at least got to grope a woman for once.

An elderly man with a white beard sat snoring quietly in an ornate chair, by the inactive fireplace. A glass of wine, untouched, sat in front of him.

Bruyan unsure what to do began to put logs in the fireplace. "What now?" he mouthed to Lorry.

Lorry cleared his throat and began speaking in perfect Tyroshi. "Master General, I, Lorry, the humble servant, have brought you your dinner." He bowed low and sat the platter down on a small table in front of the old man's chair.
Quick as lightning, the man opened his eyes and surveyed his surrounding. He waved a hand at the two of them, and spoke in the common tongue. "Thank you." He turned to Bruyan. "It is rather warm in Volantis during summertime, no need for that, good man."

Bruyan looked slightly uneasy, "Sorry, Master General" he replied haltingly in the common tounge.

The man sighed, and brought the small trey onto his lap and looked at the food. "Not what I would choose, but I suppose it will suffice." He sighed and picked up his fork, preparing to eat.

"I could go to the kitchen and have them prepare something of your choice, Master General," Bruyan said.

He smiled and produced a golden dragon that he slapped into Bruyan's hand. "That would be most appreciated."

"What would you like then, Master General?"

"Boar." He smiled, knowing Volantis would certainly have no boar prepared. "Some simple soup and bread would be fine."

"Simple soup and bread it is," Bruyan said bowing and made his way to the kitchen.
"I would like some soup and bread please," he said to one of the staff.

The strong cook, tanned and muscled from god knows work, grunted and called for the prepared ingrediants.
Back in the room, Lorry handed Edric a note and said something softly to him. The elderly man's eyes grew wide, and he fumbled with the parchment and then read it. Lorry prepared the fireplace.
After it was up and burning, he retrieved the note and burnt it, before bowing to the king. He went to find Bruyan to see how the soup and bread were coming.
