The barkeep smiled. "Who's asking?"

Bruyan took another gulp of the ale and frowned, "Well I am?"

He chuckled and continued to wipe the bar off with a cloth. "I don't know this silver man, then."

"Then why are you been mixed up what fella?" the barkeep asking, motioning to the door where the man had disappeared. "His master is one who tends to remember a lot."

Bruyan shrugs, "one meet people along the way, either they are of some use or no use at all, most people tend to be of some use though" he motions to the door. "You know of his master?"

"I like a good walk through the meadows myself," the man replied, still cleaning the bar. "I like it better with a few coins in my pocket, though. Sure makes a man feel better."

Bruyan reached down into his boots to retrieve a small pouch of gold coins containing about twenty, a little part of what he had earned from Dick. He took out a few and passed them to the bar keep. "The rest you get when you tell me," he said with a shrug.

He smiled. "And my master knows when it's midnight." He looked both ways to make sure the tavern remained empty except for Bruyan and himself. "The Silver Soldier is believed to be your king."

"I've had a little much to drink for riddles good man," Bruyan grunted and tossed the man the pouch. "His master remember much, your know when it's midnight 'xept you don't mind the meadows, would be nice to know what it meant," he grunted as he drank a bit more. "The king comment is plain enough, seeing the king ain't here".

The man chuckled. "Aye, we remember, his master might say, and the night is midnight, mine might say. That's as good as you'll get from me." He continued to clean the bar, and pocketed the coins. "Aye, you're king is not dead. He lives."

Bruyan nodded content, "Any idea why? Seems like a lot of bother to wage war, when he just could have done so anyway".

"His sons," the man said, as if that explained it all. "And those dragons you and Remembering Man are so intent on killing. Aye, they were the downfall of your still living king. Sons and Dragons."
