"Got that vial from a merchant at the docks," he pauses. "You said it was fake anyways so what's the trouble?" Bruyan asked looking warily at the knife which had stopped dripping.

The man took no notice of the comment. He sighed and held the dagger. "Time to see if ya live or die, now. Here's the question, friend. You on the Dragonlord's side of things, or you wantin' to slay some dragons?"

Bruyan shook his sleeves allowing two daggers slid into his hands that were turned away from sight. "The Dragonlord's" he said simply.

The man let his dagger fall, assuming the man was lying, as he found most did in that situation. He always took the opposite of what they said. "I am glad to know you're working against the dragons," he said, before looking up and down the street. "Now, let's have a look at that real stuff."

Bruyan shook his sleeves and the daggers vanished again, he produced the real vial this time. "What's so special about this one then?"

"It looks to be the stuff my master bid me to find," the man said, taking the vial and eying it critically. He looked Bruyan for a long moment and grinned. "Try and guess what for."

"Aye," the man said, though he looked at the stuff dubiously. "So they say. So they say."

"Seems to be too little to kill a fullgrown dragon, we'd need a barrell full or something," Bruyan frowned.

"Aye," the man said, still inspecting the vial. He handed it back to Bruyan and looked up at the moon, swearing. "I need to get back to the post. Meet me at the tavern again, tomorrow night."
